The main pace calculator takes in any combination of pace/speed, distance and time and instantly updates the other fields. Standard running race distances including 5k, 10k, half marathon and marathon are available for selection, or alternatively you can enter custom distances in miles or kilometres. Along with minutes per mile and minutes per kilometre, speed fields are also available in kilometres per hour, miles per hour and meters per second. This is particularly useful if you run on a treadmill and wish to analyse your run.
Race Splits
Finally you can plan for your next race using the racing splits screen. Pick a distance from 1500m to a marathon or a custom distance, enter your time and we’ll display the splits that you will need to hit for that time, assuming an even pace. You can configure whether you would like the splits listed per kilometre, per mile, per 400m, per 5 kilometres and per 5 miles.
BMI Calculator
Body Mass Index – (BMI) is a guide to the healthy weight range for your height used by the government and health professionals. It might not be applicable to every body type but its a good starting point! Enter your height and weight in lbs or kilograms to get your BMI score and a useful BMI reference guide. You can set a preference to show or hide the BMI section from the pace calculator if you wish.
Running Calculator is a pace calculator designed for runners by runners. It will perform a lot of the calculations that we tend to need for running and also provides accurate predictions of race finish times based on other performances with the race predictor, gives you your BMI, racing splits and even your age graded score. Result data updates as you type. All this in a tiny, very fast Running Calculator with no ads.
Age Graded Score
Age graded scores are available as part of the pace calculator for 5k, 10k, half marathon and marathon runs. This is a ratio of your time compared to the best run on record for your age and gender. The age graded score enables you to compare your result with another persons result, despite age difference, gender or even the race distance.
Additional Functionality:
Convert between minutes per mile, minutes per kilometer and minutes per 400m by modifying the pace field.
Convert between miles and kilometres using the Custom KM and Custom Miles distances.
Scale your race time to another distance by modifying the distance field. Pace is maintained and the time updates accordingly.
Convert between feet/inches and cm or lbs and kg using the BMI Calculator
Store preferences to avoid entering the same details multiple times

Equivalent Performances / Race Predictor
If you have a race time and you would like to get an estimate of what you might aim for in another race you can use the predictions screen. Here you enter a time for any of the provided distances and all other distances instantly update with your predicted finish time at that distance. This is also a nice feature when you want to compare your 5k time with a friends marathon time. Distances available range from 400m to a full marathon. Example usage: I can run 5k in 25 minutes. How long do you think it will take me to run a marathon?
